Setup Option 1
Setup Option 2
SETUP OPTION 1- Add Clients names as the group name
(Add each group member as individuals no access)
NOTE: If you choose to use setup option 1, when clients are filling in a digital form and select to complete it 'for two of us' , the portal will change the group name to the first team member of the group who is filling out the form. That first team member will then appear within the Teams area of the client portal as a duplicate. We do not encourage this setup option as issues may arise with forms and their completion.
1. Go to Clients> Client List> Add Clients> Add individual client.
2. Add your client's names into the 'Client name' field. Ensure the naming convention for any clients who share an email remains consistent.
3. Click 'Add'. Your client group has been created.
4. Click on the 'viewing eye' next to your client's name. This will take you into the client's portal.
5. Once in the client portal view, click 'Team'.
6. The Client group exists as the 'Owner' within the family member section. You will need to add each client as a team member individually. Click '+Add'
7. Add both client's as a 'Child, dependant or other (no access)'
8. Once all people within the group have been added, they will appear as individuals within the team.
SETUP OPTION 2- Client name as one individual
(spouse added as team member no email)
NOTE: When using this option , only one of the group members' names will be displayed . You cannot change the name to reflect all members within the group. This is however a cleaner treatment for forms etc.
1. Go to Clients> Client List> Add Clients> Add individual client
2. Add your first group members' name into the Client name field, along with their email address and click 'Add'.
3. Click on the 'viewing eye' next to your client's name. This will take you into the client's portal.
4. Once in the client portal view, click 'Team'.
5. You can see that the first client exists as the 'Owner' within the family member section. Now add each additional client within the group as a team member individually. Click on '+Add'
6. Add each additional client/group member as a 'Child, dependant or other (no access)'
NOTE: the 'Relationship' field should be sent to 'Partner/Wife/Husband' to allow the function of digital forms to operate correctly so that the client is not duplicated.
7. Once all people within the group have been added, they will appear as individuals within the team.
Now that your individuals are added, you can split the ownership of assets and liabilities as well as request eSignatures from both clients using single email address
