Importing clients/entity and their data from MYOB Practice Management (MYOB PM) into the portal is simple.
NOTE: Before you import a client/entity from MYOB PM to your portal, you need to have successfully connected your MYOB PM integration. See How do I set up my MYOB PM integration?
To add a client from MYOB PM to your Partner portal:
- Navigate to Clients>Client List
- Select Add clients from integrations>MYOB PM
- A search box appears. Type in the Client or entity name to search for them within MYOB PM:
a) If adding an entity as a client, the following window will appear, where you can adjust the Entity name and type before proceeding to add.
b) If adding an individual client, the following window will appear.
Set the Client type, subscription type and choose whether you want to send the client a welcome email.
IMPORTANT: Each client you import requires their own unique email address. If the client does not have their own unique email address they will not be imported. - A success message will display where you can proceed to import data from MYOB PM, or send the entity or client a task to complete.

Once the entity or client has been added, they will appear in the Client list.
To add a client from MYOB PM using the 'Advanced Search' feature:
- From your partner portal, navigate to the top of the page and click '+Advanced search'.
- A drop-down box appears. By selecting the checkbox next to the MYOB PM integration, your MYOB PM client list will be viewable in the search feature.
- In the search bar, type the name of the entity/client.
The dropdown box will show if the client already belongs to the portal, or if they only belong to MYOB PM. If the client does not appear under the 'MP clients' heading, this indicates that they are not an active client in the portal.
To import the entity/client from MYOB PM, click 'Import'.
