Use Docusign to add signature fields, assign fields to recipients and send the eSignature request.
Before you begin
Complete the steps in How do I upload documents for eSigning? before following the steps in this article.
The following steps assume the eSignature request is already open in DocuSign.
Add signature fields and send a Docusign eSignature request
1. From DocuSign, select a recipient from the Recipients dropdown.
2. From the Fields panel, drag the required field onto the document.
3. Position the field in the required location on the document.
4. To add another signature field, select the recipient from the Recipients section and drag a Signature field to the required location
5. To edit a field, select it on the document. The properties panel opens on the right side of the page, where you can update field settings and formatting options.
6. Add any additional fields required:
- Select a recipient from the Recipients section.
- Drag the required field from the Fields panel onto the document.
- Repeat as required for all recipients and fields.
Tip: Scroll within the Fields panel to view all available field types.
Common field types:
| Field | Description |
| Text | Allows the recipient to enter text. This field can be marked as required. |
| Number | Allows the recipient to enter numeric values. Formatting options such as currency, minimum and maximum values can be applied. |
| Checkbox |
Allows the recipient to select one or more options. Checkbox groups can be configured with validation rules. For more information about checkbox fields, see the Checkbox Fields guide. |
| Dropdown | Allows the recipient to select a single value from a predefined list. |
| Radio | Allows the recipient to select one option from a group of related choices. |

16. Select Send.
17. You will be redirected back to the myprosperity Dashboard. From here, select either Send manually or Send now.
Note: Clients may receive email notifications, mobile push notifications and portal notifications depending on your notification settings. All clients will receive a notification in their portal advising that a signature is required.

Tip: Reminder notifications are automatically sent 3, 6 and 9 days after the eSignature request is sent.
